Power Electronics Design Engineer
Job description:
Power electronics engineer with an excellent understanding of analog and digital circuit design, close loop control, switch mode power conversion, various power semiconductors, printed circuit board design, cooling and thermal considerations and regulatory compliance standards. Innovative, independent and able to contribute individually or within a team, with a proven track record in delivering power conversion products with immediate projects to work on:
Design of DC to DC bidirectional converters 3KW and above using advanced power devices.
Design of DC to AC converter 3KW and above using advanced power devices
Areas of work:
– Designs of various Isolated supplies: flyback, forward, half-bridge, full bridge, push-pull
– Non isolated- buck and boost topology
– Design with power ranging from a sub hundred watt to several KW
– Handled high efficiency designs over 96% using Resonant LLC and related topologies
– Battery chargers, bidirectional DC-DC converters for Lead Acid and Lithium Ion chemistries
– Single and three phase inverters & converters, AC/DC motor drive designs; power factor correction
– Cooling: forced and self-cooled, heatsink and thermal handing
– Expertise in high frequency magnetics design
– PCB layout, design guidelines, validation, production, troubleshooting
– Tools: MathCad, SABER, Cadence, Pspice, Hyperlynx or equivalent
=Experience with HIL emulators will be a plus.
– Navigating designs through compliance standards: EMI/EMC, UL etc.
Background:
– Experience: Ten years or more relevant experience
– Bachelors or master’s in electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent
